About Me:Hello my name is Anastassia Puttnam and I am one of the writers for kings news.I am always smiling and tremendously determined to do anything that is thrown at me. Furthermore people describe me as a quirky character with whacky ideas...that's why I now write these stories. However when I grow up I have always really wanted to be a doctor/heart surgeon, so thats my aim :)

The snowfall

the snowfall

I took brisk strides, aiming towards my territory. The fence that traced my minute bungalow belonged to me, so I knew only a few more steps and I would be safe from the storm that fought around me. The snow began to fall with less force, creating a more relaxed aura in the town. Some of the local stall owners even began to unpack some of their fruit and vegetables again.

Within minutes, a layer of market sellers lined the once empty street, and a mass of shouting and pitching noise shot into my ears. I became to get more and more overwhelmed with the surroundings. My hands clasped my ears, I fell to the floor and began to rock my body in to mound of wet snow. My eyes span around, I found it hard to focus on the, now, intimidating surroundings. A few people noticed, so crouched down and told me that I should relax and breathe, others carried on with their routine of selling. My eyes began to target pieces of snow, whilst it was falling, and I watched it float to the floor. After a while, I rose to my feet and started on my walk home again, ignoring anyone who tried to ask if I was ok. I was doing quite well at ignoring everyone, until I heard a quite whimper coming from beneath a car. I was going to carry on walking home after the episode I had just experienced, but as I drew nearer, the sound got stronger.

I peered around a tree that obscured most of my vision, but there was nothing there. I then stood, staring up to the clouds and focused my energy onto the sound. Continuing to walk, the crunch of snow beneath my feet became a comforting sound so I began to get into a rhythm of my strides. Until, without warning, a young bundle of hair came shooting across my feet. A manager to grab it before it run too much further. Holding it up to my face, the sound it made resembled the one I was listening too. His innocent eyes glared into mine and the whimper he was making started to fade. The sense of security he had gained whilst being in my arms was something I would treasure my entire lifetime.

The months few by, the puppy I had found grew bigger every day. We had a formed a friendship that nobody could replace. Sometimes it got hard when living on your own with nobody to talk to but ever since the day I took him home we formed a bond that not only helped with my anxiety but helped me socialise with the outside world.
