About Me: Hello, I'm Dabbie (short for Dabeluchi). I am a student at Dartford Grammar School for Girls. I love reading mystery books, and solving the mystery with the author. I hope you enjoy reading my stories.
There lay the necromancer himself – DomDaniel. He drowsed. DomDaniel drowsed. The ExtraOrdinary Wizard lay there as a melancholy reminiscence came back to him.
He remembered it all. He remembered how happy he was with his family. A drop of water fell from his eye as a picture of his elated wizard family appeared. There they were in their home: their happy home. He remembered the fire that changed his life forever. DomDaniel could remember it as if it was yesterday.
The family had just come back from a relaxing holiday to the Marram Marshes – so many memories. The ice cream was amazing and he was always dying for more. DomDaniel imagined himself tasting it. He could never forget it. Think of your favourite food; food that you’re always dying to eat and can never forget its taste. That ice cream would really help right now. It could be part of their victory meal when they take the princess and kill her.
When they arrived home, they were not all expecting a visitor. But the king didn’t care, he just barged in. Nobody dared to move because they didn’t like the look of the highly trained wizards and most of all, the professional warriors with their sharp weapons.
The soldiers paraded out and surrounded DomDaniel and his family holding their weapons ready to strike. Lord Taboo apparited from the house holding DomDaniel’s dad – who had his hands tied behind his back. Taboo smiled a vile smile at the soldiers pointing at the defenceless family “Arrest them!” he declared. “I have not got your tax from last month. Today is the 1st of January. What happened to December, eh? You guys can have your house back when you pay but for now you are going to prison. Guards, go secure the house for lockdown. Go! Go! Go!” he smiled an evil smile. He had missed tormenting people – especially these people.
There was a ground shaking sound. Fine I’m joking. He wasn’t that heavy to make an earthquake. Someone fell over the stairs. From outside, mum screamed “Duck!” we all ducked. “I’m not following orders from you. Who do you think I am? Your lame family?” he folded his arms wearing his corky smile.
The house exploded. Pieces everywhere. Fire everywhere. Thanks to mum we survived well not all of us – Lord Taboo didn’t end well. Before he could catch us, we ran. Ran out of this town. Ran for lives.
DomDaniel felt as if he was there when the family watched Lord Taboo, our dictator, set fire to their home. Destroying all from memories to magic books.
He remembered being the only one to survive but being caught by the custodians who trained him to be the ExtraOrdinary Wizard he is now. Now he owes them which is why he’s helping them.
DomDaniel awoke with a fright. He felt a great gust of wind on his spine as he thought about his family. For the first time in years his heart warmed.
