Strawberry surprise.

Strawberry surprise.

Jacob was a 72 year old man. He had cobalt blue eyes, with deep wrinkles almost drawn onto his yellow skin, and arctic grey hair that reflected the light of the sun’s rays. Every morning the young children of the town would queue up around the corner to get their hands on a hot, or cold, dipped chocolate strawberry. The children’s noses would tingle with delight every time he took the tray of strawberries outside into his front yard. The cost of the strawberries started to get on top of him, never mind the rich belgian chocolate! Eventually he had to start charging 50p per strawberry. Obviously, the price instantaneously stopped people attending his stall.

However, every day the old man would attempt to get more customers. One by one each and every customer would decide to go to the supermarket to get frozen chocolate strawberries for 12 of them in a packet for £1. When he had no customers left, he decided to stop the business altogether and save some money instead. In the meantime, the children of the town were not happy with the frozen strawberries, when they defrosted, they would be bitter and cold and the chocolate was most unappetising. Therefore, when they found out he was closing for a year they were distraught. Their noses didn't tingle with delight no more.

Day by day his money started to grow and when he had £1000 he decided to reopen his stall. The children sprinted to the stall and began to indulge in their strawberries. Each of them said sorry for leaving your stall and they all helped themselves. Furthermore Jacob got cheaper chocolate and cheaper strawberries so that he could carry on in his chocolate strawberry stall worry free.
