About Me:Hello my name is Anastassia Puttnam and I am one of the writers for kings news.I am always smiling and tremendously determined to do anything that is thrown at me. Furthermore people describe me as a quirky character with whacky ideas...that's why I now write these stories. However when I grow up I have always really wanted to be a doctor/heart surgeon, so thats my aim :)
Tommy was a boy who really enjoyed sausages. He loved throwing them down his throat, most of the time he didn't even chew them. As they went in his gob rapidly, one after the other, he dramatically began to grow bigger and bigger and bigger. Soon it began to look like he was going to POP! His Mum thought it was a good idea to get a pet dog so that he could exercise by walking the dog, then hopefully, it would help him lose the weight. She knew it was going to be tough, she knew it was going to be hard to gradually pull him away from his beloved sausages.
Eventually, his Mum got him a sweet little dog called Jimmy. Tommy slowly became keener on walking the dog, some days Tommy didn't have a sausage, due to the fact that he was walking his dog most of the time. Unfortunately, one day, Jimmy was sniffing around in an old lady's bag at the bus stop, when he suddenly smelt a sausage, Jimmy took a big bite and he became quite keen on it. Therefore, he ran up to Tommy and started to bark and bark and bark. Tommy put his lead on and let Jimmy lead him somewhere....the sausage shop. Tommy struggled to take him back to his house.
When he told his Mum, she was gobsmacked. She said he should just not take Jimmy to the park that way. The next day, when Tommy woke up, his dog was gone; so up he jumped to go looking for him. Days turned into weeks. After Jimmy had been missing for 5 weeks, Tommy decided to have a sausage, because he was so upset and soon became addicted to them. As Tommy was on his way to the shop, he heard a small hurt squeak...it was Jimmy...he was all curled up in a cardboard box. Tommy took him home and was surprised to see how fat he was, (he had been stealing sausages from the sausage shop) in fact, he was as big as Tommy had been before he stopped eating sausages. Suddenly, he looked at himself and thought, “I don't want to be that fat blob again and I don't want to go back to square one.” Soon after, they both pulled themselves together and went to the park - within weeks they were healthy again and couldn't stop eating apples!
