Day 2:
Today, you will be going to the Sacré-Coeur. Take the tube to the metro station Anvers. Then walk up Rue de Steinkerque, where there are many tourist shops and you will reach the gardens which lead to the Sacré-Coeur. Be careful of pickpockets and of people trying to sell you items around the monument. Although the area around the Anvers tube station may appear a little rough, if you take a walk around the Sacré-Coeur after you have visited, you will find the loveliest little town, which has many restaurants. This can be found to the left of the monument as you face it. It is also the artists square, and you may be lucky to see many artists at work here, and you will be able to buy their paintings. Additionally, year round, there is usually a man playing the harp on the steps leading to the Sacré-Coeur, and it is relaxing to stop and listen whilst admiring the views.
If you are a lover of art, you can then go to the Centre Georges Pompidou, which is an art gallery, and you can get there via the metro station Rambuteau. It is a very fascinating building, built in a postmodern design, which some love and some hate. Here, you are again not far from the Notre Dame area, and you could use this time to go up to the top of the Notre Dame if you didn’t get the chance yesterday.
In the evening, take the metro to Blanche, and here you can see the Moulin Rouge at night, which is great to take pictures of, and to go for a drink, but remember that there is not a lot to do in this area.
Day 3:
Today, you will go up the Eiffel Tower. Take the metro to Bir-Hakeim or the RER to Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel. With around a 1 minute walk, you will reach the Eiffel Tower, and queue for tickets. I recommend if it is a clear day to go to the summit, but if it is cloudy, do not waste your money as you won’t be able to see anything! Later, walk to the Seine River, and take a boat cruise along it, they are usually around the price mark of 14 euros. Use the next part of the day to do any other activities you wish, but make sure you return to see the Eiffel Tower at night as it twinkles every hour and makes you realise how magical Paris really is!
