About Me:Hello my name is Anastassia Puttnam and I am one of the writers for kings news.I am always smiling and tremendously determined to do anything that is thrown at me. Furthermore people describe me as a quirky character with whacky ideas...that's why I now write these stories. However when I grow up I have always really wanted to be a doctor/heart surgeon, so thats my aim :)
Jamie was a professional policeman and he always captured the naughty people. He never let one slip through his fingers. As he was coming out of 'Cozzzy Cafe', he saw a suspicious man creeping cautiously out of the back of the museum with a bag - which was full to the top with...what?! Jamie followed casually behind him. When the 'thief' reached his destination he dumped the bag in a nearby bin (Jamie thought his criminal mate was going to go and pick up the ‘gold'!) Jamie held his long nose and dived in to the bin gracefully. Whilst Jamie was taking the gold out of the bag, he thought the man was coming around the corner, so he sped off.
2 minutes later, Jamie had the criminal under lock and key. But this was just the beginning. The next few weeks would be crucial to the policemen. In this particular town, they worked in a kind of strange way. This was because they would blindfold themselves and feel the suspects' faces to determine if they were the criminals or not. Unbeknown to Jamie, as this was his first year as a policeman, the town of Goswop has an annual criminal day every 1st April.
So Jamie - being an enthusiastic policeman - went to look for clues around the dust bin area, but he found no evidence that it was them. The only question was, why didn't the alarms go off in the museums? When the owner checked them, they seemed to work and there didn't appear to be any valuables missing. When they walked around, they realised that it was criminal day and everyone had to dress up as criminals.
Everyone was so embarrassed. And Jamie was confused, this was because Jamie found gold in the bags and also if they WERE a member of staff, why didn't they go back into the museum. Everybody laughed because he thought that the gold was real, but it was actually gold chocolate wrappers - they had been giving them to the kids for free! Furthermore, the boy who emptied the rubbish didn't go back into the museum, because he was on his way to the 'cozzzy cafe' for his break. Jamie was SO humiliated!
