The most beautiful scenes, but also more difficult to describe without any spoilers, are: the fight in zero gravity in the hotel corridor, those that take shape in the mind of Cobb and reveal how parts of his memories are buried in his psyche and the scene that I have previously described (the encounter with the architect). In every scene, there are hidden messages, symbols and quotations recalling all main idea and allegorical of a maze where the most important thing is to find the exit as quickly as possible.

The character of Cobb serves as both protagonist and antagonist. His subconscious and his memories constantly create dangerous projections, which in some cases aid the failure of the mission and cause internal conflict within the character. One of Cobb’s main nemesis is time, against which fights constantly, always expanding and slowing it down more, for every unconscious level (where five real minutes correspond to one hour), without ever having the feeling of owning it completely. The time that Cobb has to find is exclusively his, the one that has lost struggling with his subconscious.

The cast is based on excellent actors such as Michael Caine, Kate Watanabe, Tom Berenger, Pete Postlethwaite, and Cillian Murphy, but they are above all the protagonists to give the largest contribution to this beautiful plot. Amongst them all, DiCaprio has however led the film with his interpretation in Cobb’s role.

It is hard to find weak spots in such a movie, which deserved to be watched ignoring minor flaws that can only be observed if being very meticulous. However, some secondary scenes may seem excessively dilated and long, some of which could have been avoided, especially in the end with some scenes in the snow slowing down the build-up of adrenaline. However, as a whole. It is undeniable that the structure of the narration are fluid, and sophisticated, just like a perfect maze where at the end you manage to catch a glimpse of the exit. In addition, the script is so solid to justify every paradox, any inconsistency between the real and virtual world.

Nolan makes the viewer victim and at the same time creator of the visions he spectates, gives him the ability to immerse himself in this dreamlike creations, finding himself in all the feelings and all the moods that are heard in the course of the narration. Lastly, keeping us in suspense for more than two hours, Nolan makes us fall into a kind of nightmare, it gives us time to realize the alarming prospects before us and deceive us, to the end, to be able to be aware of our dreams. The chance to explore the illusions that create our mind is fascinating, "An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules", the ideas are all different, characterize us, influence us, as this film is able to shake even the most dormant of the spectators, leaving the possibility of a personal interpretation of the plot. There is not one-way way of seeing and judging “Inception”, there are infinite, at least as many as the levels of our abstract and intricate subconscious.
