Everybody loves ice-cream but who knew it would be so simple to make! With this recipe you can literally make ice-cream in five minutes and it’ll be ready to eat! So sit back and read the following recipe then give it a go yourself and enjoy this tasty treat!
What you’ll need:
300ml cream
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 trays of ice cubes
6 tbsp rock salt
1 medium Ziploc bag (a sealable plastic bag)
1 large Ziploc bag
tea towel or oven mitts
How to do it:
Step 1 - Place cream, sugar and vanilla essence into the medium Ziploc bag and mix the ingredients. Make sure you carefully seal the Ziploc bag first!
Step 2 - Put the ice into the large Ziploc bag and tip a tablespoon of salt on top of the ice.
Step 3 - Next place the medium Ziploc bag inside the larger Ziploc bag on top of the ice and salt and close bag securely.
Step 4 - Here comes the fun part: shake the bag for five or ten minutes until the mixture resembles the consistency of ice-cream! You may want to use a tea towel or oven mitts as the bag is very cold and try shaking the bag outside as the ice starts melting.
Step 5 - When ready remove the bag of ice-cream and wipe away any traces of salt from the outside of the bag.
Voila’! There you have it, home-made ice-cream ready to eat! You can cut a hole in the corner of the bag and squeeze the ice-cream into a cone or bowl or just start eating it straight from the bag!
TIP:
You can use this recipe to create different flavoured ice-creams by simply adding the fruit, biscuits, sweets or toppings you love at step one. Give it a go and enjoy your favourite flavour ice-cream whenever you fancy it!
