Frozen is a recent Disney film that has been very popular, so here's a review. Princess Anna sets off on an epic journey to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter. On her journey, she teams up with up with a mountain man named Kristoff, who sells ice, and his loyal reindeer Sven (my favourite character). As they trek up the mountains, they face freezing cold conditions, mystical trolls and a great beast summoned by Elsa to guard her ice palace. The hilarious snowman named Olaf, who is also summoned by her, is a funny, loveable character who joins Anna and Kristoff to battle the elements and save the kingdom before people begin to run out of food and supplies. Poor Olaf is looking forward to Summer, but doesn't know what happens to snow when it's hot! Luckily, thanks to a little magic, he's okay.
The pace is a little slower to begin with than some other Disney epics, but it is still a good all round film with humour, love, friendship and drama and features an unforgettable soundtrack. The songs 'Do you want to build a snowman?' and 'Let it Go' are particularly popular hits and the girl who lives next door to me keeps singing them! It is a good fun family film and has very loveable characters; I'd give it a rating of four stars - just because five stars are reserved for the Lion King and the original Toy Story. If you haven't seen those films then go and watch them now, trust me they're the best Disney films ever!
One of the highlights of Frozen for me is the characters, particularly Olaf and Sven. Disney have created lots of great characters through the years. My favourite all time character is Pumba from The Lion King, what's your favourite? Comment below!
