About Me:I'm a graduate student studying International Criminal Law and first started writing for King's News almost 4 years ago! My hobbies include reading, travelling and charity work. I cover many categories but my favourite articles to write are about mysteries of the ancient world, interesting places to visit, the Italian language and animals!
Hopefully you all answered the quiz we posted last week in which you had to see whether the fifteen sentences we devised were facts or just part of my own crazy imagination. In this article you can finally find out just how well you did, below we have provided the correct answers to each question.
Question One: FACT
Well done if you got this one right! Indeed chocolate contains both alkaloid stimulants caffeine and theobromine, the latter being dangerously toxic to dogs. If you didn’t get this question right do not fret – just don’t feed your dog chocolate even if they give you the puppy eyes!
Question Two: FACT
Yet another fact! Brazil has won the World Cup five times! Italy is close behind and has won four times, followed by Germany who has won three.
Question Three: FICTION
Spoiler alert! In Herman Melville’s classic novel Moby Dick, published in 1851, Ahab gets trapped in his own harpoon line and the whale then drags him into the sea.
Question Four: FACT
The core of the Earth is solid. This is due to its high pressure which raises the melting point way beyond the core’s temperature and therefore the metals in the earth’s core are unable to melt.
Question Five: FICTION
Henry VIII had two of his wives, Anne Boleyn and her cousin Catherine Howard, executed. He divorced another two wives, his first wife Catherine of Aragon and Anne of Cleves, and his last wife Catherine Parr outlived him.
Question Six: FICTION
The film did not raise awareness of the horrows of the Holocaust at all but instead was an account of the rise of Hitler and his Nazi party and was used then used as propaganda.
Question Seven: FACT
England’s Earl of Sanwich was surely not the first person to ever eat a sandwich yet he was so fond of eating meat between two slices of bread that the food item was named after him
Question Eight: TRUE
The 1945 atomic bomb which detonated on Nagasaki was named ‘Fat Man’. Its name refers generically to the early design of the bomb, also known as the Mark III. The bomb was an implosion-type nuclear weapon with a strong plutonium core.
