Bling Boss: The Diamond Necklace (Part 1)

“Go! Go! Go!” The Sergeant instructed as he pointed at the crime scene. The police rushed in with guns in their hands out and searched the perimeter. They searched all over the shop in groups while one kept an eye on the door in case she arrived. “Guard the necklace!” The shopkeeper ran out, waving his hands in panic. He called out from outside, “Please protect it; it is worth so much. My whole shop is based on that necklace and I have an important client looking into buying it.”

One by one, they each disappeared like ice-cream on a hot summer’s day until only one remained. The Sergeant police officer stood rotating with his gun outstretched; ready to shoot at any time and any moment. He turned around and saw her lying on the counter. He almost jumped out of his body at the sight of his nemesis. “I thought you would have given up. Every time, I beat you and your adorable little crew, yet your still here trying to be the hero by doing the impossible. Beating me. We both know that I am the one person that you can never beat which is why you have never caught me and I get away every time.” She laughed to herself and climbed off the counter. She clapped slowly and walked towards him. The Sergeant remained in his original position with his hand outstretched. He loaded his gun and fired.

He jumped back from the explosion and ran close to see his target. He picked away the pieces to uncover his bullet’s destination. “Did you miss me?” She stood outside the window and waved, holding the bag filled with her stolen goods.

The Sergeant fell to his knees and cried out loud. “I will get you one day. Just you wait.”

“Oh, I have been but we’ll see if that day ever comes. By the way, go check the roof. I would love to stay and chat but I need to try on my new diamond necklace.” With that she tilted her hat and jumped off into the distance. He banged the nearby wall in frustration as he searched for his missing crew on the roof. He untied them and muttered to himself, “One day.” With their heads hung low, they entered the department lectured by their boss. They each departed into their desks to begin the research assigned by the Chief police. He lunged in his chair and began to devise a plan. He beckoned his crew and began instructing with a blueprint laid out.

Her dark chestnut brown hair danced in the wind as she approached her hideaway. She had a tall and long dark purple jacket stopping at her shin – which was always buttoned shut. On her head, she wore a matching fedora hat and black converse on her feet. She had long purple nails. Her tanned skin glowed in the warm sunlight with glossy punch-pink lips that glimmered in the moonlight.

The diamonds shone as bright as the sun while she carefully emptied her backpack. She opened each item individually and checked in the mirror. “You should have seen the look on his face when he saw them gone again.”

“I wish I could, honey.” He slowly turned the chair around and attempted to stand up but she rushed over to help him. “We will defeat him together, once and for all.”
