Basics of the Greek Language, Lesson 18: At a Party

Now, should you be lucky enough to get an invitation to somebody’s house for dinner or for a party, say yes. Usually they’re very vague and non-specific, so though it may not be followed through, it’s seen as impolite to say no to an invitation like this. When you do eventually get round to it, there will be lots of food, chatter and music. Possibly even dancing. Imagine a dinner party, only more lively and fun. If people ask you questions about what you do for a job, what you study, where you study, what you do for fun etc., don’t be surprised. Helpfully, this convenient little compilation of phrases should help you get through the night no problem!
