About Me:Hello my name is Anastassia Puttnam and I am one of the writers for kings news.I am always smiling and tremendously determined to do anything that is thrown at me. Furthermore people describe me as a quirky character with whacky ideas...that's why I now write these stories. However when I grow up I have always really wanted to be a doctor/heart surgeon, so thats my aim :)
Mandy was 12 years of age and her Mother and Father were going out for the evening. Therefore, she had to have...the DREADED BABYSITTER! Mandy tried a series of things to stop her Mum and Dad from going out, nevertheless none of them worked. She tried to pretend she was sick and she even trashed her Mum’s clothes (not much, Mandy only covered them in mud). Furthermore, the reason she didn't want the babysitter was because all of her friends had had her before and they all commented that she was dreadful.
Eventually, Mandy's Mum and Dad went to a fancy dress party, looking like ragger muffins, to try and enjoy the rest of their evening. Tilly, the babysitter, seemed quite nice however, she wasn't going to risk it. Firstly, Mandy booby trapped all of the doors...but then she walked in to them herself by accident, she ended up smelling of rotten eggs. Unbeknown to Tilly, Mandy was baking a disgraceful cake for her. Thinking it was a nice gesture, Tilly tried a BIG piece of the cake and because she was so kind, Tilly said it tasted yummy and somehow managed to eat it all up. Finally, Mandy gave up trying to trick her and started to talk to Tilly...they got on really well.
Soon after, Mandy's Mum and Dad came back looking worried. Mandy’s new friend Tilly told her Mum that she was very well behaved. Suddenly, Mandy heard a huge sigh of relief from her parents. It turned out that Mandy's friends said that she was a dreadful cook, not a dreadful babysitter.
