About Me:Hello my name is Anastassia Puttnam and I am one of the writers for kings news.I am always smiling and tremendously determined to do anything that is thrown at me. Furthermore people describe me as a quirky character with whacky ideas...that's why I now write these stories. However when I grow up I have always really wanted to be a doctor/heart surgeon, so thats my aim :)

ANTony!

ANTony!

Antony was an ant, he was also cockney. Every night, he dreamt that he would travel the world. Antony was gazing up at the midnight sky through a minute hole in his tree (where he lived), when he saw a small shooting star. He was gobsmacked. Nevertheless, he rapidly thought of a wish to make. The next morning, Antony decided to go on an adventure; so he packed his bags and set off. Over the hills he went and through the lakes at ST James’ park. Hours later, he made it to the River Thames. On the river, there was a shipping boat which said 'FRANCE' in big bold letters. This was Antony's dream and wish...to go to France! Antony scuttled through the crowds of people and hopped on to the boat.

Antony was so tired and weary that when he sat down on the floor, he fell straight to sleep. 10 minutes later, a wave of cold icy wind came gushing through the open window. Therefore, he pulled out his soft fuzzy blanket and wrapped himself up in it; like he was a baby. Suddenly, he felt a soft tug on his arm. It was another ant called Timmy. Antony started to scream, but Timmy calmed him down by explaining why he was there. Antony had made a new friend to go on his adventure with. As soon as they started talking, the rusty old boat came to a short, sharp STOP!

As the men with beards unloaded the crates off of the boat, the two ants catapulted themselves over the gargantuan gap which led to safety. Firstly, they found somewhere to live and then they went out for lunch. They met a French pigeon while they were there and then ate some fruits that they had never heard of before. It was quite an experience for both of them. Two weeks later, it was time for them to go home to their families. But before they got on the boat, they had to go and see the ‘ANTonyo Building’, it was created by Antony's Grandfather and he had named it after Antony. Before long, they were back on the ship, heading back to Britain.

Antony and Timmy had to go their separate ways, but they kept in contact for the rest of their lives!
